Yoga Workshop with Julio & Anya
Bucharest, 11-12 July 2020
Two days in which Julio and Anya share their practice with all attendants. Julio and Anya have been practicing and studying the deepest alignment-oriented style of Yoga for the past 9 years and they strongly promote it in Romania. Therefore, all asana practices in program follow what learnt from that practice in India and many other countries, mainly in Europe and USA. The goal of the workshop is to share a self-practice taken with dedication and love, in the convincement that it will be beneficial for all students at the classes.
This tradition of Yoga was brought to human kind by BKS Iyengar; the highest example dedication to Asana practice bringing deep understanding about the Yoga Science of Patanjali. The main intention behind these workshops is to contribute to the spreading of BKS Iyengar legacy in Romania. Julio and Anya bring Iyengar Certified Yoga Teachers (CIYT’s) to Romania periodically, helping to develop it in the country, being both of them CIYT’s as well.
Program of the course:
Each Yoga Workshop provides different Asana practices. We never repeat one session. In this workshop you will find 4 different Asana Practices for all level practitioners, focused on beginner-intermediate. Classes least from 2 to 3 hours depending on the subject. Subjects may variate depending of the teachers intention and approach.
Morning Asana class starts at 9’00 – Afternoon class starts 2 hours after the end of morning practice.

Asana Practice 1: Focus on Standing Poses as preparation for all poses
Asana Practice 2: Forward Extensions and Twist
Asana Practice 3: Back Extensions
Asana Practice 4: Restorative practice
Props: Very important notice. We provide 1 blanket, 2 wooden bricks and 1 belt per person. Each participant needs to bring its own bolster (suitable for supine poses as for instance, Supta Baddha Konasana) and one blanket. If not bolster, more blankets may be suitable depending of the own condition. Polyester or other acrylic blankets, or towels are not suitable for the practice.
Clothes: Men should practice in shorts with t-shirts having arms skin on view. Women can practice with shorts or with leggings better in cotton or natural tissue, with t-shirts having arms skin on view.
Health condition: If you have some health condition, including menstrual period, please inform the teachers prior to the class.
Final certificate: We provide a certificate with the amount of Asana hours practiced.
The workshop is taught in English. Better bring all necessary for taking notes when demanded by trainers. Video is not allowed: Only in very specific moments of the education under trainer acceptance and supervision.
