How to adapt Pilates method to specific conditions of spine and pelvis
The World Health Organization (WHO) defines in 1958 physiotherapy as "the science of treatment through: physical agents, therapeutic exercise, massage and electrotherapy’. Pilates method is a perfect tool that can be adapted and used in any therapeutic context. It can be also a valid support running parallel to any therapeutic process.
Move On Pilates Academy Fisio-Pilates workshops are updates for professionals, already certified as Pilates Instructors, that want to have a practical information about how to approach some specific client health conditions. Fisio-Pilates is not a physiotherapeutic course, but can help to better understand different cases that very often appear in the daily work of many Pilates instructors.
Many times clients come to a Pilates class because have back pain or problem. In this workshop we will learn how to adapt the private sessions to better fit the special conditions of the client, still considering it apart from physical therapy, by understanding general pathological conditions and differentiating the pain that the client is accusing.
This workshop is destined to give a deeper understanding of the anatomy, biomechanics and general pathologies of the lower region of the spine and pelvic girdle to all who already have experience in the Pilates method.
